Labor and Environmental Protection

IBC “Pulkovo” pays a lot of attention to labor and industrial safety and environmental protection.

The Corporation’s main tasks are:
- to save employees life and health
- to prevent harming the environment because of its operation
- to make the most efficient use of natural resources – water, soil, forest, minerals
- to reduce industrial wastes through state-of-the-art technology

Labor protection, industrial safety and environmental protection are arranged in accordance with federal legislation and is an integral part of Corporation dynamic development and one of the priority areas of its activities.

Strategic goals concerning labor safety and environmental protection: no accidents, accident prevention, improve working conditions, minimize injuries, minimize negative environment impact, sequentially year by year reduce pollution caused by manufacturing and construction process.

IBC “Pulkovo” main principles and polices concerning labor protection, industrial safety and ecology of production:
- Management strict adherence to the rules of environment protection, industrial safety, labor protection and provision of material resources, required for effective operation
- Compliance with requirements of Russian current legislation, standards, norms and rules concerning labor and industrial safety and environmental protection, as well as Corporate standards that are obligatory
- Continual improvement of the management system concerning labour and industrial safety in accordance with International Standard OHSAS 18001:1999 and environment management system in accordance with International Standard ISO 14001:2004
- To enforce the requirements to contractors and suppliers on the Corporation’s sites to implement and follow the standards and norms concerning labour safety, environmental and industrial safety adopted by the Corporation
- Transparency of Corporation work concerning labour and industrial safety and environmental protection for Federal, Republic, Municipal bodies and society and shareholders
- Openly show the results of environmental activity, whether they are positive or negative
- Prioritize the prevention of the generation of polluting wastes
- Reduce year by year accident risks and their consequences which lead to a negative environmental impact
- Provide compensation and benefits for works in difficult, harmful and dangerous working conditions
- Professional risk management for company employees, contractors, visitors and local population
- Obligatory investigation of all accidents, risks and professional illnesses
- Perfect labour and industrial safety training system
- Provide employees with special clothing, shoes, protective equipment and necessary medicine in accordance with established satandards
