Sandwich panels
ZAO “Petropanel” as a part of IBC “Pulkovo” Ltd manufactures wall and roofing sandwich-panels with mineral wool or foamed polystyrene insulation using ISOWALL machinery with a capacity of 5000 sq.m per day.

Unlike widely used brick and concrete, sandwich panels possess several advantages:
WARM- According to thermal specifications they exceed traditional materials by 10 times
QUICK- Construction pace of 1 sq.m of sandwich panel is 80 times faster than of brick wall
LIGHTWEIGHT- The load on foundation is over 100 times less than of brick or concrete walls
CHEAP- The ideally smooth panel surface doesn’t require additional external or internal finish
ATTRACTIVE- A broad range of RAL or RR colors
MONEY-SAVING- Transportation costs for the construction of 1sq.m of sandwich panel wall
are 50 times less than those required for wall of brick or concrete
SAFE- 35 combinations of protective polymer coatings depending on specifications and
requirements for the particular building
FUTURE- The ability of further extend or even rebuilding

    Facing
The following materials are used for facing:
    - cold-rolled Zn-coated steel sheets
    - cold-rolled Zn-coated steel sheets with polymer coating
    - composite polymers
    - stainless steel
    - steel with mashed granite coating

The most popular are the steels with polymer coating by Ruukki (Rautaruukki)/ Finland, British Steel / UK, Thyssen Krupp Stahl AG/ Germany and others world leading manufactures of rolled metal.

    Materials used for coating:
Plastisol - A decorative polymer, composed of polyvinyl chloride and modifiers, sometimes referred to as PVC 200, where the number denotes the thickness of coating in microns. The coating is suitable for internal and external use. Has excellent resistance to corrosion and mechanical damaging. Easy to mold. Resistant to rolling.
Polyester (PE) – A relatively inexpensive material suitable for any climatic zone. Thickness of coating is 25 &豴m. Primarily is used internally. It has good mechanical quantities: rigidity and easy to mold. Thermal resistance is up to +120°C Coating can be glossy or matte.
Pural – This coating is based on polyurethane with silky matte finish. Primarily is intended for outdoor use. Easy to mold, resistance to corrosion, esthetically acceptable. Withstand great changes in temperature, direct sunlight and chemicals.
Polyvinyldefluoride (PVDF) – Is recommended for special outdoor finish. It has excellent anti-corrosion properties and perfect surface appearance.

    Heat Insulating Materials
As insulation for its sandwich panels ZAO “Petropanel” uses incombustible basalt mineral wool, foamed polystyrene and penoplex.
Mineral wool is made from molten rock and is mineral fibres with synthetic binders. ZAO “Petropanel” uses mineral wool of Paroc Oy (Finland) and Rockwool (Denmark) production.
Foamed polystyrene is cheaper and more durable than stone wool, but is a weaker fireproof material.
Penoplex is extrusion foamed polystyrene meant for insulation of foundations, floors, roofs, walls and filling of sandwich panels.

      Joints
The maintenance of buildings and structures made from sandwich panels greatly depends on the quality of panels’ joints.
ZAO “Petropanel” use INTALOCK that is based on previous generations of sandwich panel locks and meet the following requirements:
      - provides the durability of the junction
      - keeps off cold bridges
      - prevents vapors from penetration into insulation
      - takes thermal changes in dimensions of sandwich panels

Beginning from 2005 ZAO “Petropanel” annually receives the Quality Awards of the Government of St-Petersburg.
