ICC PULKOVO was founded in 2004 after the merger of the well known Russian industrial companies: OAO Aeroportstroy, which has been in existence for 65 years, and ZAO Petropanel.
It is well known that the success of international public companies is founded on the following ideology:
technology must be the most advanced;
management must be the most effective;
employees must be the best.
These are the principles we follow in our work.
In 1998, the year of the Russian default, we were the first in our country to put into operation a new generation factory for producing sandwich panels. We supplied the whole country, from Kaliningrad to Yakutia, and in doing so taught ourselves and our designers, investors and main contractors to operate in the prefabricated building industry using modern technology and materials.
In 2003 the corporation opened a metalwork construction factory equipped with the latest equipment from leading European companies. We set up our own highly professional project bureau which operates according to the end to end project design principle. Our project designers have undergone training in Finland and Germany. The innovative technology we have used for designing projects and producing metal constructions has enabled us to achieve European levels of quality, time scale and labour productivity. Today we can produce 10 tonnes of building structures a month per worker, while the average production level in Russia is 2.5 tonnes per worker.
In 2009, based on 10 years experience, our specialists, together with leading English equipment producers, designed and brought into exclusive production sandwich panels. These currently have no analogues in Russia.
A crucial point for investors is the problem of finding a reliable construction organisation able to provide integrated European standards of quality, project design, preparation and supply of construction materials and who can carry out assembly and construction work on site and take the site through to handover.
It is well known that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
A lack of professionalism, irresponsibility and sometimes simple dishonesty are the everyday difficulties which one commonly comes across in the construction process. That is why, in order to join all links into a single strong chain and to minimise risks for us and our clients, we set up our production.
The hardest task is not to create a system but to implement Corporate Standards at all management levels.
Over the last 5 years we have been directing all our energies toward creating a corporate management system. Consequently, the Corporation has created an efficient business management system using computer automated systems based on the 1C ERP systems Management of Construction Organisations. Version 8.1 and Advance Steel Professional Net adapted for ICC Pulkovo. A planning, project design, control, accounting, reporting document management system, which allows us to follow the progress of work in real time, has been created.
Over 5 years the corporation’s revenue has grown more than 12 fold, from 300 million roubles in 2003 to 3.7 billion roubles according to the figures for 2008.
However, the most important point is that we have created a team.
ICC PULKOVO employs more than 700 highly qualified specialists, of which 250 are engineers. Many employees have received government awards. 20 have received the title Honorary Builder of Russia, and two the title Distinguished Builder of Russia.
Our team’s professionalism and experience means that we can solve the most complex task to a very high level.
